Ahaadeeth on Etiquettes - Part 2


بـسـم الله والحـمـد لله والـصلاة والـسـلام عــلى رسـول الله، وبـعـد

Based on the work of the noble Shaikh al-Albaanee رحمه الله“Silsilatu al-Ahaadeeth al-Saheehah”


8) From Aaishah رضي الله عنها in marfoo` form: “When Allaah wishes good for the people of a household He enters kindness amongst them.”

[“Musnad” of Imaam Ahmad (6/71) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee in al-Saheehah (1219)]


9) From `Ubaadah رضي الله عنه  in marfoo` form: “Guarantee for me six things and I will guarantee Paradise for you: (1) Tell the truth when you speak, (2) and fulfill your promises, (3) and be faithful when you are trusted, (4) and safeguard your private parts, (5) and lower your gaze, (6) and withhold your hands (from harming others).”

[Ibn Khuzaimah (3/91), Ibn Hibbaan (107) and al-Haakim (4/358-359) and graded as “Saheeh li ghairihee” by Shaikh al-Albaanee in al-Saheehah (1470)]


10) Narrated Abu Umaamah رضي الله عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for a man who avoids quarrelling even if he were in the right, a house in the middle of Paradise for a man who avoids lying even if he were joking, and a house in the upper part of Paradise for a man who made his character good.”

[Sunan Abu Dawood (4800) and graded as “Hasan” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]


11) Narrated Sahl bin Sa`d: Allaah's Apostle صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Whoever can guarantee (the chastity of) what is between his two jaw-bones and what is between his two legs (i.e. his tongue and his private parts), I guarantee Paradise for him.”

[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (6474)]


12) From `Abdullaah bin `Amr رضي الله عنهما that Mu`aadh bin Jabal رضي الله عنه intended to travel so he said to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم: “Advise me!” So he صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Worship Allaah and do not associate any partners with Him.” He said: “O Prophet of Allaah, advise me more!” So he صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Follow up an evil deed with a good deed.” He said: “O Prophet Allaah, advise me more!” So he صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Be firm (have istiqaamah), and perfect your manners.”

[Ibn Hibbaan (1922), al-Haakim (4/244) and graded as “Hasan” by Shaikh al-Albaanee in al-Saheehah (1228)]


13) Sufyaan bin `Abdullaah al-Thaqafee رضي الله عنه who said: I said: “O Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم, tell me something about Islaam which I can ask of no one except you.” He صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Say: I believe in Allaah - and then be Steadfast”

[Saheeh Muslim (58)]


14) From Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه who said that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “The most perfect of the believers in Imaan are those who have the best of manners and the best of you are those who are best to their wives.” 

[Tirmidhee (1162), Abu Dawood (4682) and graded as “Hasan” by Shaikh al-Albaanee in al-Saheehah (284) and also graded as “Hasan” by Shaikh Muqbil in “Saheeh al-Musnad” (1342, 1349)]


15) `Aaishah رضي الله عنها narrated: Allaah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “The best of you is the best among you to his family and I am the best among you to my family. And when one of you dies, do not speak ill of him.”

[Tirmidhee (3895), Ibn Hibbaan (1312) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee in al-Saheehah (285)]
