بسم الله والحمد لله
والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد
Al-`Abbaas said to his son `Abdullaah رضي الله عنهما:
“O my son! Do not seek
knowledge for three reasons:
1) To show-off with it.
2) Just to argue (with others) using it.
3) To become arrogant by way of it (and refuse to seek
advice when confused or mistaken).
And do not forsake it for
three habits:
1) Desiring to remain ignorant (due to laziness).
2) Content with little knowledge.
3) Shying away from learning.”
