A sincere Believer's fear...

📖 QUR’AAN:
While describing the characteristics of the Believers of this Ummah, Allaah جل وعلا says:

وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَا آتَوا وَّقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ رَاجِعُونَ * أُولَـٰئِكَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَهُمْ لَهَا سَابِقُونَ

Bid`ah: The Highway to Hellfire

🎓Shaikh al-Albaanee رحمه ﷲ said:

💠The foundations of Bid`ah are four:

1️⃣ First:
(Following) the Weak Ahaadeeth, which can neither be relied upon nor permissible to be attributed to the Prophet ﷺ. So, it is not permissible to follow/implement such narrations, as we have mentioned in the introduction of the book: "صفة الصلاة النبي" (Description of the Prophet's prayer). And this is what a group of scholars like Ibn Taymiyyah and others follow.

Why scholars differed while grading the Ahaadeeth from the 4 Sunan

💠 This is a brief clarification on why a Hadeeth has two different grading - which has caused some confusion among the general mass - especially regarding the Ahaadeeth from the 4 Sunans (Sunan Abu Dawood, Sunan al-Tirmidhee, Sunan al-Nasaa’ee and Sunan Ibn Maajah):

🌟1) In the English world, or for most of the English readers, there are two sources for the Hadeeth grading from the books of contemporary scholars:
➡a) from the Books of Shaikh al-Albaanee (which many often rely while translating the Hadeeth in their posts),
➡b) and then there is by Darussalam, who have incorporated the checking by Shaikh Zubair `Alee Zai.

The Fiqh of passing by the graves of the Kuffaar

(And yes it means no RIP prayers for them)

Al-Baihaqee reported on the authority of `Aamer Ibn Sa`d, that his father said: A Bedouin came to the Messenger of Allaah and said: “My father used to uphold ties of kinship, and he did such-and-such (mentioning his acts of kindness), so where is he?” The Prophet said: He is in the Fire. The Bedouin found it difficult to bear. Then he said: “Where is your father of Messenger of Allaah?” He said: Whenever you pass by the grave of an idolater, give him the tidings of Hell-fire.

The Bedouin later became Muslim, and he said: “The Messenger of Allaah gave me a difficult task. I never passed the grave of an idolater but I gave him the tidings of Hell-fire.”

[Shaikh al-Albaanee said in Saheeh al-Seerah: reported by al-Baihaqee in “al-Dalaail” (1/191-192), and also reported by al-Tabaraanee in al-Kabeer (326), as well as by al-Dhiyaa’ al-Maqdasee in “al-Mukhtaarah” (1005) and its chain is “Saheeh” See al-Saheehah (18)]

Impermissibility of taking the Shahaadah on behalf of someone else

One cannot affirm what is in other people's heart except to judge them for their speech and actions

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

Indeed all praise is due to Allaah,
WE praise Him,
And WE seek His help,
And WE seek His forgiveness,
And WE seek refuge with Allaah from the evils of our souls and the mischief of our deeds.
Whoever He تعالى guides, then here is none to lead him astray,
And whomever He تعالى misleads, then there is no guide for him.
I [1] testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allaah,
and I testify that Muhammad is His Slave and His Messenger.

Weakness of the Hadeeth: Paradise will mock at those who used to mock at others in this world

It is reported on the authority of al-Hasan (al-Basree) that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “A gate of paradise will open to one of those who used to mock people and a cry will be heard: ‘Come here, come here,’ and he will come forward in concern and anxiety, but when he reaches it, it will close in front of him. And this will happen again and again, until the gate will open and the cry ‘Come here, come here,’ will be heard as before, but he will not approach because he knows it will only close in front of him.” [Ibn Abi al-Dunya in al-Samt (285) and Dham al-Gheebah (149) and al-Baihaqee in Shu`ab al-Imaan (6333)]

Both, Ibn Abi al-Dunya and al-Baihaqee, reported this narration from their respective chains on the authority of Rauh bin `Ubaadah from Mubaarak bin Fudhaalah from al-Hasan from the Prophet

Truth is not judged by numbers

The number of followers/likes/hits/comments is not the criterion to judge the truth

From Silsilat-ul-Ahaadeeth al-Saheehah of Shaikh al-Albaanee

397 - “No Prophet (from among the Prophets) has been testified (by such a large number of people) as I have been testified. And verily there would be a Prophet among the Prophets who would be testified to by only one man from his people.”

Reported by Ibn Hibbaan in his Saheeh (6243) and in Mawaarid (2305) from his chain to Anas Ibn Maalik رضي الله عنه, that he said that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said…and he mentioned the Hadeeth.

I say: The Isnaad of the narration is “Saheeh”, and (Imaam) Muslim has reported it in his Saheeh (383) as well and in the beginning of it is mentioned:

Prohibition of concealing the truth:

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد

Do not let the fear of the people or their status in the society or their relation with you or the fear of being labeled prevents you from speaking the truth.

Allaah تعالى said:

{And mix not truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth while you know (the truth).} [Surah al-Baqarah (2): 42]

Removing the Doubts: Scholars don’t know Current events?!

Answered by Shaykh Al-Albaanee (1420 H)

Questioner: When you mention the statement:

فَاسْأَلُوا أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

{So ask the people of knowledge, if you do not know.} [Surah al-Nahl (16): 43]

There come some doubts from the youth when the likes Shaykh Al-Albaanee, or Shaykh `Abdul `Azeez bin Baaz, or others are mentioned to them. They reply to them saying: Shaykh al-Albaanee or Shaykh `Abdul `Azeez bin Baaz, they have understanding in Fiqh issues, and Hadeeth, and these affairs. As for the affairs of Jihaad and fighting they require experience. So whom will we take them matters from? From those on the front lines and from those who know these affairs.

A gift to all those who accuse Shaikh al-Albaanee of Irjaa'

This post is a reply from the daughter of Shaikh al-Albaanee in defense of her father to all those who accuse him of Irjaa’ [1].

Comments of my Father, the Imaam, Al-Albaanee رحمه الله on the Hadeeth: “Hasten to perform (good) deeds…

All praise be to Allaah, and the blessing and peace be upon the final Messenger of Allaah, Muhammad, and his family and companions and those who follow his path.

The Ill Effects of Storytelling

When the storytellers (e.g. Tableeghi Jamaat) are more and Hadeeth narrators are few...then know that it is the sign of beginning of our destruction. We ask Allaah for our safety and well-being.

It was related by Khabbaab ibn al-Aratt 1 that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

إن بني إسرائيل لما هلكوا قصوا

“When Banoo Israa’eel fell into ruin, they began to tell stories.”

[al-Tabaraanee in al-Mu`jam al-Kabeer (7305) and Abu Nu`aim in al-Hilya (4/362) and graded as “Hasan2 by Shaikh al-Albaanee in al-Saheehah (1681) and in Jami` al-Sagheer (2045)]

al-Muhaddith Muhammad Naasir al-Deen al-Albaanee رحمه الله says in al-Saheehah (1681): He (i.e. Ibn Atheer) says in al-Nihaayah: ‘(When they fell into ruin, they began to tell stories) i.e. they relied upon speech and left off action; so this was the cause of their ruination, or, conversely, when they fell into ruin, they left off action and inclined toward storytelling.’

I say (i.e. al-Albaanee): It could be said that the reason for their ruination was the concern of their preachers with telling stories and tales without [imparting] Fiqh and beneficial knowledge that instructs the people in their religion, causing them to do righteous deeds. So when they fell into that (i.e. focus on storytelling), they were ruined. And this is the circumstance of many of the storytellers of our time, who the greater portion of their exhortations concern reports of Banoo Israa’eel, heart softening stories and Soofee legends. We ask Allaah for our well-being.

[1] Ibn ajr رحمه الله mentions: “He is Khabbaab ibn al-Aratt al-Tameemee, Aboo `Abdallaah; he was from the first of those who accepted Islaam, and he suffered hardship for the Sake of Allaah. He was present at Badr and later settled in Koofah; he died there in the year 37H.

[2] Others who have authenticated this Hadeeth are:
- Al-Haithamee said in al-Majma` al-Zawaa’id (1/189): This was reported by al-Tabaraanee and its narrators are trustworthy, except that they differed about al-Ajlih al-Kindee but most of them hold him reliable.

- `Abdul-Haqq al-Ishbeelee said in al-Ahkaam: It is reported by al-Bazzaar from the Hadeeth of Shareek Ibn `Abdullaah and its chain is “Hasan”.

Will I be punished for my prayer?

Imaam Sa`eed bin Al-Musayyib* رحمه الله once saw a man praying more than two rak`aat after the beginning of Fajr (i.e. before the Fajr prayer), making many bows and prostrations, and so he forbade him.

The man said: “O Abu Muhammad, is Allaah going to punish me for praying?”

Sa`eed said: “No, but He will punish you for contradicting the Sunnah.”

[Al-Bayhaqee in As-Sunan Al-Kubraa (2:466) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaykh Al-Albaanee. See Irwā Al-Ghalīl 2:236.]

Shaykh Al-Albaanee رحمه الله commented:

“This is one of the superb answers given by Sa`eed bin Al-Musayyib رحمه الله. It is a strong weapon against heretics (mubtadi`ah) who recommend many different types of religious innovation in the name of them being dhikr and prayer. They then criticize the followers of the Sunnah for criticizing them, and accuse them of censuring dhikr and prayers, when in fact (the Ahl Al-Sunnah) are only criticizing the contravention of the Sunnah in matters such as dhikr and prayer.”

* Sa`eed bin Al-Musayyib رحمه الله was a tabi`ee (the student of the Companions). He had narrated from `Aaishah, `Alee, Sa`d, `Uthmaan, Abu Moosaa, Ibn `Umar, Abu Hurairah, Ibn `Abbaas and others And his narrations are reported in the Saheehain (al-Bukhaaree and Muslim).

Trials are a sign of goodness

The following Ahaadeeth are all taken from Silsilat al-Ahaadeeth al-Saheehah of Shaikh al-Albaanee

143. It was narrated from Mus`ab bin Sa`d that his father, Sa`d bin Abu Waqqaas رضي الله عنه said: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allaah which people are most severely tested?' He صلى الله عليه وسلم said: 'The Prophets, then the next best and the next best. A person is tested according to his religious commitment. If he is steadfast in his religious commitment, he will be tested more severely, and if he is frail in his religious commitment, his test will be according to his commitment. Trials will continue to afflict a person until they leave him walking on the earth with no sin on him.’

Weakness of the Hadeeth: Virtues of Surah al-Hashr (59)

Fatwa of Shaikh Ibn Baaz

Question: Assalaam `alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh. I ask you about this Hadeeth if it is Saheeh or Dha`eef: on the authority of Ma`qil bin Yasaar on the authority of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم that he said: “If anyone says on entering the morning: ‘I seek refuge in Allaah the all-Hearing the All-knowing from the accursed devil’, three times and recites the last three verses of Surah al-Hashr (59) then Allaah deputes over him seventy thousand angels who pray for his forgiveness till the evening. And if he dies during the day, he dies as a martyr. And, if anyone recites it in the evening then (too) he is of the same station.” What is the authenticity of this Hadeeth?

The intercession of Hell and Paradise for the slaves of al-Rahmaan

Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: The Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

<<ما استجار عبد من النار سبع مرات في يوم إلا قالت النار : يا رب إن عبدك فلانا قد استجارك مني فأجره ، و لا يسأل الله عبد الجنة في يوم سبع مرات إلا قالت الجنة : يا رب ! إن عبدك فلانا سألني فأدخله الجنة>>

The ruling on reciting the Ahaadeeth with Tajweed

The ruling on reciting the Ahaadeeth and the du`aa’ with Tajweed.

Shaikh al-Albaanee رحمه الله was asked:
There are those who read (recite) the Ahaadeeth of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم with Tajweed; similarly the Du`aa’ (supplications) also with Tajweed. A lot of times, it causes confusion to the general people…

Hadeeth: "Importance of al-Qur'aan in protecting the religion"

Narrated Hudhaifah bin al-Yamaan رضي الله عنه: The Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Islaam will wear out just as embroidery on a garment wears out, until no one will know what fasting is, what prayer is, what the religious rites (of Hajj) are and what charity is. And the Book of Allaah will be lifted overnight, and not one verse of it will remain on the earth. And there shall remain group of people, old aged men and women saying: ‘We found our fathers upon this statement: Laa ilaaha illallaah (No one is worthy of worship except Allaah), so we say it too.’” Silah (Hudhaifah’s companion) said to him (i.e. Hudhaifah): “What will ‘Laa ilaaha illallaah’ do for them when they don’t know what fasting, prayer, rites and charity are?” Hudhaifah turned away from him, so he repeated his question three times, each time Hudhaifah would turn away from him. Then on the third, he turned to him and said three times: “O Silah! It will save them from the Hellfire!”

Ahaadeeth on Etiquettes - Part 8

Based on the work of the noble Shaikh al-Albaanee رحمه الله“Silsilatu al-Ahaadeeth al-Saheehah”

53) Ibn `Umar رضي الله عنهما said: There was a time when no one was more entitled to a person’s money than his Muslim brother. Now people love their dirham and dinar more than their Muslim brother. I heard the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم say: “How many a neighbor will be brought together with his neighbor on the Day of Rising! He will say: “Lord, this man closed his door to me and refused to show me common kindness!””

From Anas bin Maalik رضي الله عنه who said that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “A slave’s Imaan will not be upright until his heart is upright, and his heart will not be upright until his tongue is upright, and a man whose neighbor is not safe from his harm will not enter Paradise.”

Ahaadeeth on Etiquettes - Part 7

Based on the work of the noble Shaikh al-Albaanee رحمه الله“Silsilatu al-Ahaadeeth al-Saheehah”

45) From Jaabir bin `Abdullaah رضي الله عنه that when he صلى الله عليه وسلم used to walk, his Companions would walk ahead of him and would leave the rear for the angels.
