Whoever has Husn al-Dhann bil-laah (Good thoughts about Allaah) will never be let down

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد

Even though he was not a Prophet, but due to his firm faith, and strength of his certainty (Quwwatul-Yaqeen), and for having high hope in Allaah سبحانه وتعالى, Juraij was able to reach a very high status.

No one in their common sense would expect an infant (a newborn) to speak in his infancy. If someone saw you talking to a newborn, excepting the infant to speak like a grown up and respond to you, he would think that you are insane.

But as for Juraij, deep down he knew well about himself, he was more knowledgeable about himself than what others knew about him, and he knew his position with his Lord, he knew the strength of his prayers, he knew that Allaah will not let him down if he called upon Him sincerely, for Allaah جل وعلا made him strong in his Yaqeen (certainty) and made him have high hopes in the ability of his Lord.

With all this, Juraij said to the infant, while everyone was listening to him: “O child! Who is your father?” Allaah made the infant to speak while still in his cradle. The infant responded: “My father is so-and-so, the shepherd.” So he mentioned the name of the child and gave his description.

When the infant spoke in his cradle, all the charges against Juraij were cut off. They accepted the proof; for before they abused him and harmed him and tore down his place, but now they were fascinated by this incident, and apologized to him, and wanted to rebuild his place out of gold. He just asked them to rebuild it the way it was, out of mud and clay.

Look at what had happened! Two things befell Juraij. The prayer of his mother against him – she did not pray for him, rather she prayed against him. The second thing was a woman, known for her beauty, trying to seduce him. Both of these were great matters that befell him! But irrespective of that, neither the prayers of his mother against him nor the beauty of that woman were able to overcome him.

How was Juraij able to overpower this?! He was able to do so because of him being Truthful with Allaah. If one is True with Allaah, nothing will harm him, neither the prayers of his parents against him nor the beauty of a seductive woman can persuade him towards fornication.

The greatest thing which protects a person and keeps him firm upon the Deen is: “Being Truthful with Allaah”. And if Allaah knows that there is goodness in your heart, He تعالى will not let you down. As Allaah تعالى said:

وَمَنْ أَوْفَىٰ بِعَهْدِهِ مِنَ اللَّـهِ

{And who is truer to his covenant than Allaah?}
📚 [Surah Tawbah (9): 111]

If you do something good to a person, and if he comes to know about your goodness, and your truthfulness and sincerity towards him, he will feel shy to let you down or humiliate you. So, how can you have bad thoughts about the Lords of the World, Exalted be His Name?! Far removed is Allaah جل وعلا from ever abandoning His sincere servants! For Allaah is the Greatest, Full of Majesty and Honor, for you to ever think negative about Him.

Being Truthful with Allaah is one of the greatest ways to achieve salvation. Allaah تعالى protected, and helped Juraij, and gave him victory so that neither the prayer of his mother against him nor the beauty of a seductive woman were able to harm him.

And whoever Allaah wishes to protect, then there is no one to harm him!!!

📑 Note:

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet said:
None spoke in the cradle but three: (The first was) Eesaa (Ibn Maryam), (the second was), there a man from Banee Israaeel called Juraij. While he was offering his prayers, his mother came and called him. He said (to himself): "Shall I answer her or keep on praying?" (He went on praying) and did not answer her, his mother said: "O Allaah! Do not let him die till he sees the faces of prostitutes." So while he was in his hermitage, a beautiful lady came and sought to seduce him, but he refused. So she went to a shepherd and presented herself to him to commit illegal sexual intercourse with her and then later she gave birth to a child and claimed that it belonged to Juraij. The people, therefore, came to him and dismantled his hermitage and expelled him out of it and abused him. Juraij performed the ablution and offered prayer, and then came to the child and said: "O child! Who is your father?" The child replied: "The shepherd." (After hearing this) the people said: "We shall rebuild your hermitage of gold," but he said: "No, of nothing but mud." (The third was the hero of the following story) A lady from Banee Israaeel was nursing her child at her breast when a handsome rider passed by her. She said: "O Allaah! Make my child like him." On that the child left her breast, and facing the rider said: "O Allaah! Do not make me like him." The child then started to suck her breast again. After a while the people passed by, with a lady slave and she (i.e. the child's mother) said: "O Allaah! Do not make my child like this (slave girl)!" On that the child left her breast and said: "O Allaah! Make me like her." When she asked why, the child replied: "The rider is one of the tyrants while this slave girl is falsely accused of theft and illegal sexual intercourse."
