Introduction:

Alhamdulillaah! With the advent of technology, the access to any Aayah of the Qur’aan or a Hadeeth is only a click away. And so many Islaamic literatures have been translated and are available over the internet free of charge.

But like everything in this world, it has its advantages and disadvantages. One of the bigger issues seen nowadays is that the young ones* among us are taking everything available over the internet, neither confirming the sources nor checking the authenticity.

The 2 essential prerequisites of eating food:

Traveling to places which are cursed?

Imaam al-Bukhaaree رحمه الله said:

And it is mentioned that `Alee رضي الله عنه disliked praying in Babylonia where it was sunk (as a punishment).

Syed Qutub: Lost in translation

“Wahdatul Wujood” in “In the Shade of the Qur’aan”

The following is a small example to inform our English speaking brothers and sisters on how the book “In the Shade of the Qur’aan” by Syed Qutub is being “mistranslated”, to hide some of Syed Qutub’s deviancy and errors especially in the matters of `Aqeedah (Creed).

The purpose here is not to talk about Syed Qutub, but rather to do justice to the scholars who have warned against him, and have informed the Ummah not to read his books, especially his book “In the Shade of the Qur’aan”. But when one reads the English translation, he will not find some of these mistakes.
