بـسـم الله والحـمـد لله والـصلاة والـسـلام عــلى رسـول الله، وبـعـد
Imaam al-Bukhaaree رحمه الله reported that `Aaishah رضي الله عنها said: “Whenever you appreciate
the good deed of a person, you should say:
اعْمَلُوا فَسَيَرَى اللَّـهُ عَمَلَكُمْ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ
{...Do deeds! Allaah will
see your deeds, and (so will) His Messenger and the believers...} [Surah
al-Tawbah (9):105] and you should not hasten to
praise anyone (for doing what seems to be a good deed).”
[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (9/154)]
A very important and overlooked principle, because we
rush to praise someone and then he DOES something which is against the Sunnah
and the Manhaj of the Salaf; and he SAYS something which is against the Sunnah
and the Manhaj of the Salaf, and he CALLS to something which is against the
Sunnah and the Manhaj of the Salaf.
Allaah protect us and keep us safe from falling into the
same error.
As-salaamu alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuhu
ReplyDeleteIt just occurred to me that there is no About page on this blog. Rather belated of me to notice, since I refer to this blog quite often and find it extremely beneficial. May Allah reward you for your work akhi :)
But I would really appreciate it if you could let me (and other visitors) know who the author is behind this blog? Are you a student of knowledge or just a brother who shares what he learns?
Since the internet is ripe with blogs and pages sharing Islamic knowledge, it's wise to know where and from whom we take our knowledge of the deen right?
Baarakallah feek.
wa `alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh.
DeleteAllaah increase you in knowledge and action. Verily! It is from the foundations of seeking knowledge that a person knows who he takes his knowledge from.
As for me, I would not even qualify to be considered as a proper student of knowledge. The best one can say is that I share (translate) as I learn.
One of the main purpose of all these translations was to help my wife in seeking Islaamic knowledge as she is a Christian convert and it was her suggestion that I upload this on the internet so that others my also benefit through this.
All praise is for Allaah alone, I never expected to have even a few followers. It is Allaah who grants success to whom He wishes.
With all that said, I prefer to remain anonymous, as I am not the person from whom knowledge should be sought.
Jazaak Allaahu Khair wa Baarak Allaahu Feek.
