*The numbers are of little importance if the people are
lacking faith.
*Imaan increases with obedience and decreases with sins.
*Help from Allaah doesn’t come when the Sunnah is opposed.
*Seek Allaah’s help thru patience and prayers.
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Have
you heard of a city, one side of which is on land and the other is in the sea?”
They said: Yes, O Messenger of Allaah. He صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “The
Hour will not begin until seventy thousand of Banee Is-haaq** attack it. When they come
to it, they will halt and they will not
fight with weapons nor will they shoot arrows. They will say: ‘Laa ilaaha illallaah, wa-llaahu akbar’ (None
has the right to be worshipped but Allaah, and Allaah is the greatest), and one
of its two sides will fall.”
Thawr (one of the sub-narraotrs) said: I do not know except
he صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “The
side that is in the sea.”
“Then they will say a second
time: ‘Laa ilaaha illallaah, wa-llaahu
akbar’ (None has the right to be worshipped but Allaah, and Allaah is the
greatest), and the other side will fall. Then they will say a third time: ‘Laa ilaaha illallaah, wa-llaahu akbar’ (None
has the right to be worshipped but Allaah, and Allaah is the greatest), and its
(gates) will be opened for them, and they will enter it and take the spoils of war.
Then when they are distributing the spoils, a cry will come to them, saying al-Dajjaal
has appeared, and they will leave everything and go back (to face him).”
[Saheeh Muslim (7333)]
**Imaam al-Nawawee رحمه الله said in “Sharh Saheeh Muslim”: al-Qaadhee (`Iyyaadh) said: This
is how it is mentioned in all the manuscripts of Saheeh Muslim: i.e. “Banee
Is-haaq”. He further said: but some of them said: The correct and preserved is:
“Banee Ismaa`eel”. This is what the evident from the Hadeeth and its context.
By Banee Ismaa`eel, it is meant the `Arabs and the city mentioned here is
Constantinople (which they will conquer).

The best army will be from
Madeenah:
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “The
Hour will not begin until the Byzantines camp at al-A`maaq or Daabiq, and an
army composed of the best people on earth at that time will go out from Al-Madeenah
to meet them. When they arrange themselves in ranks, the Byzantines will say:
'Do not stand between us and those who took prisoners from us; let us fight
them.' The Muslims will say: 'No by Allaah, we will never let you reach our
brothers.' Then they will fight them, and one-third will flee, whose repentance
will never be accepted by Allaah; one-third will be killed, and they are the best
of martyrs before Allaah; and one-third will prevail and will never succumb to any
Fitnah, and they will conquer Constantinople. While they are dividing the
spoils, having hung their swords on the olive trees, the Shaitaan will shout
out among them: Al-Maseeh (al-Dajjaal) has taken your place among your
families. So they will march, but that will be false news. When they reach Ash-Sham,
he (al-Dajjaal) will emerge, and while they are still preparing for battle, drawing
up their ranks, the Iqaamah for prayer will be called, and `Eesaa bin Mariam عليه السلام will descend,
and will lead them. When the enemy of Allaah sees him, he will melt as salt melts
in water. If he left him alone, he would still melt until he was destroyed, but
Allaah will kill him at his (`Eesaa’s) hand, and he will show them his blood on
his lance.” [Saheeh Muslim (7278)]

Why Madeenah only??!
Abu Hurairah رضي
الله عنه said:
The Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Islaam began as something strange and will revert to
being something strange, so glad tidings to the strangers.” [Saheeh
Muslim (372)]
Ibn `Umar رضي الله عنهما said that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Islaam
began as something strange and will revert to being something strange as it
began, and it will retreat between the two Masjid as a snake retreats to its
hole.” [Saheeh Muslim (373)]
Abu Hurairah رضي
الله عنه said that the
Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Imaan (Faith) will retreat to Al-Madeenah as a snake
retreats to its hole.” [Saheeh Muslim (374)]
Jaabir رضي الله عنه said that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Al-Madeenah is like a
pair of bellows (furnace): It expels out the impurities (bad persons) and
selects the good ones and makes them perfect.” [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree
(1883, 7216)]
Narrated Anas bin Maalik رضي الله عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “There
will be no town which Ad-Dajjaal will not enter except Makkah and al-Madeenah,
and there will be no entrance (road) (of both Makkah and al-Madeenah) but the
angels will be standing in rows guarding it against him, and then al-Madeenah
will shake with its inhabitants thrice (i.e. three earthquakes will take place)
and Allaah will expel all the non-believers and the hypocrites from it.”
[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (1881) and Saheeh Muslim (7577)]
*******
Madeenah because it has become the Fortress of Tawheed, Lantern
of Knowledge, Noor of Guidance – by the Will of Allaah.
But even after knowing all this, the foolish ones will still
label the scholars of this land as: “Scholars for dollars” – Allaahul musta`aan.
Their hatred all stems out because of their hatred for Tawheed. The Kuffaar
hate them, the Sufees hate them, the Shi`aa hate them, the Ash`arees hate them –
and these groups have deceived the common mass in hating them.
