بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد
👉 Always remember, the
tongue is the reflection of the heart, while the actions are the reflection of
the person’s character.
🔥 As for the tongue being
the reflection of the heart, Allaah تعالى
said about the Jews and the Mushriks:
قَدْ بَدَتِ الْبَغْضَاءُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَمَا
تُخْفِي صُدُورُهُمْ أَكْبَرُ
{Hatred has already appeared
from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse.}
📚 [Surah aal-`Imraan
(3):118]
🔥 As for the actions
being the reflection of a person’s character, the Prophet ﷺ
said:
❝If you have no shame then do what you like.❞
📚 [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree
(3483, 3484, 6120)]
📑 When a person has no shame, he does not care what he is doing. Hayaa (shyness/modesty) is a part of Imaan (Faith), and Imaan prevents a person from committing immoral and wicked deeds. When a person lacks in Faith, his evil deeds will exceed his good deeds.
🌴🌴🌴
♻️ So, coming back to the question, how can a person know his worth with Allaah?!
🔥 When a person lacks manners with his Lord, cares less about the Halaal and the Haraam, makes light of the matters of the Deen, and at the same time he is ashamed of getting exposed or afraid that the people will become aware of his actions, THEN KNOW THAT THIS PERSON HAS FALLEN IN THE SIGHT OF ALLAAH.
Allaah تعالى said:
يَسْتَخْفُونَ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَلَا يَسْتَخْفُونَ مِنَ
اللَّهِ وَهُوَ مَعَهُمْ
{They seek to hide (their
real character) from the people and seek not to hide (it) from Allaah, whereas
He is with them (by His Knowledge)…}
📚 [Surah al-Nisaa
(4):108]
📑 They feel ashamed that they might get exposed or that people might become aware of their evil deeds, yet they do not feel any shame that Allaah is watching them, whereas He is well aware of all that they do.
🌴🌴🌴
💠 Tafseer al-Muyassar:
❝They seek to conceal from the
people fearing that the people might become aware of their evil deeds, but they
do not try to hide it from Allaah, nor do they feel ashamed of Him. (Even if
they wanted to hide, they could not) for He عز وجل
is with them by His Knowledge.❞
💠 Tafseer al-Sa`dee:
❝This is indicative of their
weak Imaan (Faith) and lacking in Yaqeen (certainty), as a result of which
their fear of people is greater than their fear of Allaah, for they are very
keen to use all means, whether permissible or prohibited, to avoid exposure and
scandal in front of people, whilst at the same time they show their audacity
towards Allaah by committing grievous sins, not caring that He is watching
them.❞
🌴🌴🌴
Do not rush to praise someone, as Imaam al-Bukhaaree رحمه الله reported that `Aaishah رضي الله عنها said: ❝Whenever you appreciate the good deed of a person, you should say:
اعْمَلُوا فَسَيَرَى اللَّـهُ عَمَلَكُمْ وَرَسُولُهُ
وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ
{...Do deeds! Allaah will see
your deeds, and (so will) His Messenger and the believers...}, and
you should not hasten to praise anyone (for doing what seems to be a good
deed).❞
📚[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree
(9/154). The Aayah is from Surah al-Tawbah (9):105]
