It is from Faith that a person establishes prayer sincerely for Allaah alone:

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد

﴿وَهَـٰذَا كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ مُبَارَكٌ مُّصَدِّقُ الَّذِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلِتُنذِرَ أُمَّ الْقُرَىٰ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا ۚ وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ ۖ وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ﴾

{And this (the Qur’aan) is a blessed Book which We have sent down, confirming (the revelations) which came before it, so that you may warn the Mother of Towns (i.e. Makkah) and all those around it. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in (the Qur’aan), and they are constant in guarding their Salaah (prayers).} [Surah al-An`aam (6): 92]

Tafseer al-Muyassar (by the group of Prominent Scholars):

And this Qur’aan is the Book which We have revealed it unto you – O Messenger – highly beneficial, which upon truth bears witness to that which had been revealed in the earlier scriptures and it (this Qur’aan) is from Allaah. We have revealed it so that through it We can frighten the people of Makkaah and all those around it from every region (i.e. all the corners) of the earth of the punishment of Allaah and His Wrath. Those who believe in the life of the Hereafter also believe that the Qur’aan is the Speech of Allaah and they constantly guard their prayer and establish it in its respective time.

Tafseer al-Sa`dee رحمه الله:

{And this} Qur’aan which {We have revealed} unto you is a {Blessed}, i.e. it is full of blessing and that is due to the many benefits in it.

{Confirming which came before it}, meaning: in conformity with the previous scriptures and testifying to it with truth.

{So that you may warn the Mother of Towns and all those around it}, meaning: We have also revealed it so that you can warn the Mother of the Towns, i.e. Makkah al-Mukarramah and all those around it, from the houses of the Arabs, rather all the (many different) countries (and places). So that you (O Muhammad) can warn the people of the punishment of Allaah - people of all the nations – warning them against that which brings about that punishment.

{Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it}, this is because when the fear is in the heart, its (Imaan’s) pillars are strengthen and (the person) is led towards actions which he does only for pleasing Allaah alone.

{And they are constant in guarding their Salaah (prayers).}, meaning: they regularly offer it, safeguarding its pillars, its limits (nullifiers), its conditions, its manners and all that which completes it. Allaah make us one of them!

Tafseer Ibn Katheer رحمه الله:

﴿وَهَـذَا كِتَـبٌ﴾

{And this is a Book} the Qur’aan,

﴿أَنزَلْنَـهُ مُبَارَكٌ مُّصَدِّقُ الَّذِى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلِتُنذِرَ أُمَّ الْقُرَى﴾

{Blessed, which We have sent down, confirming which came before it, so that you may warn the Mother of Towns} that is, Makkah,

﴿وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا﴾

{and all those around it...} referring to the `Arabs and the rest of the children of Aadam, `Arabs and non-`Arabs alike. Allaah تعالى said in other Aayaat:

﴿قُلْ يَأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ جَمِيعًا﴾

{Say: “O mankind! Verily, I am sent to you all as the Messenger of Allaah.”} [Surah al-A`raaf (7):158], and

﴿لاٌّنذِرَكُمْ بِهِ وَمَن بَلَغَ﴾

{“that I may therewith warn you and whomsoever it may reach.”} [Surah al-An`aam (6):19], and

﴿وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِهِ مِنَ الاٌّحْزَابِ فَالنَّارُ مَوْعِدُهُ﴾

{but those of the sects who reject it, the Fire will be their promised meeting place} [Surah al-Hood (11):17] and,

﴿تَبَارَكَ الَّذِى نَزَّلَ الْفُرْقَانَ عَلَى عَبْدِهِ لِيَكُونَ لِلْعَـلَمِينَ نَذِيراً ﴾

{Blessed be He Who sent down the criterion to His servant that he may be a warner to the `Alamin (mankind and Jinn)} [Surah al-Furqaan (25):1], and,

﴿وَقُلْ لِّلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَـبَ وَالاٍّمِّيِّينَ ءَأَسْلَمْتُمْ فَإِنْ أَسْلَمُواْ فَقَدِ اهْتَدَواْ وَّإِن تَوَلَّوْاْ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلَـغُ وَاللَّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ﴾

{And say to those who were given the Scripture and to those who are illiterates: “Do you submit yourselves” If they do, they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, your duty is only to convey the Message; and Allah is All-Seer of (His) servants.} [Surah aal-`Imraan (3):20].

It is recorded in the Two Saheeh, that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

أُعْطِيتُ خَمْسًا لَمْ يُعْطَهُنَّ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ قَبْلِي

“I have been given five things which were not given to anyone else before me.” The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم mentioned among these five things:

وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ يُبْعَثُ إِلَى قَوْمِهِ خَاصَّةً، وَبُعِثْتُ إِلَى النَّاسِ عَامَّة

“Every Prophet was sent only to his nation, but I have been sent to all people.”

This is why Allaah said:

﴿وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالاٌّخِرَةِ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ﴾

{Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it} meaning, those who believe in Allaah and the Last Day, believe in this blessed Book, the Qur’aan, which We revealed to you, O Muhammad,

﴿وَهُمْ عَلَى صَلاَتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ﴾

{and they are constant in guarding their Salah}, for they perform what Allaah ordered them, offering the prayers perfectly and on time.
