بـسـم الله والحـمـد لله والـصلاة والـسـلام عــلى رسـول الله، وبـعـد
Narrated Abu
Hurairah رضي الله عنه: The
Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “None of
you should point out towards his Muslim brother with a weapon, for he does not
know, Satan may tempt him to hit him (or cause the weapon to slip from his hand and hit him) and thus he would fall into a pit of fire (Hell)” [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (7159) and Saheeh
Muslim (6834)]
Narrated Abu
Hurairah رضي الله عنه: Abu
al-Qaasim (the kunya of Allaah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “He
who pointed a weapon towards his brother, the angels invoke curse upon him even
if he is his real brother till he stops (pointing) it.” [Saheeh
Muslim (6832)]
Imaam al-Nawawee رحمه
الله said: “In this Hadeeth is the confirmation of the inviolability
of the Muslim’s (blood) and strict forbiddance from intimidating him or scaring
him or exposing him to that which will harm him.
And the statement of the
Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم: “even if he was his real brother” is
to magnify (the severeness of the issue) and to clarify the general prohibition
(of pointing the weapon) at anyone, irrespective of it being for fun and play
or not because intimidating a Muslim is forbidden in all circumstances. And the
angels cursing him till he stops pointing it, is further evidence for it being
forbidden.” [Sharh Saheeh Muslim (16/170)]
And in another Hadeeth, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “It is not lawful for a Muslim to frighten another Muslim.” [Sunan Abu Dawood (4986) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]
