The thought that should embarrass us the most!

Indeed, prayers are a time-bounded obligation upon Muslims. The times of prayers are fixed hours, and the best deed a Muslim does is to offer the prayers at the beginning of their stated fixed times.

{Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers (to be offered) at specified times}
[Surah al-Nisaa’ (4):103]

`Abdullaah Ibn Mas`ood رضي الله عنه said: I asked the Prophet : “Which deed is most loved by Allaah?” He replied: (To offer) the prayer at its proper time.
[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (527, 5970, 7534) and Saheeh Muslim.
In al-Adab al-Mufrad, the very first Hadeeth that Imaam al-Bukhaaree reported is this one. As if to say that the foundation of all good manners begins with having good manners with Allaah]

In another narration, the wording is: To offer the prayers at their stated fixed times.
[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (2782)]

The Merits Of Dhikr (Remembering Allaah) (Part 10):

6- The Prophet  said:

Does not one of you go out in the morning to the Masjid and learn or recite two Aayaat (verses) from the Book of Allaah عز وجل? That is better for him than two she-camels, and three Aayaat (verses) are better (than three she-camels), and four verses are better for him than four (she-camels), and so on their number in camels. The Merits Of Dhikr (Remembering Allaah) (Part 9):

5- The Prophet  said:

Whoever recites a letter from Allaah’s Book (the Qur’aan), he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a tenfold reward. I do not say that Alif-Laam-Meem (الـــم) is (one) letter, but Alif (أ) is a letter, Laam (ل) is a letter and Meem (م) is a letter. [1]

4- The Prophet said:

Let  not  your  tongue  cease  to  be  moist  with  the  remembrance  of  Allaah

The complete narration is as follows:

`Abdullaah Ibn Busr رضي الله عنهما narrated that a Bedouin said to the Messenger of Allaah said: “The laws of Islaam have become burdensome for me. Tell me of something that I will be (easily) able to adhere to. He said: Always keep your tongue moist with the remembrance of Allaah عز وجل [1]

Allaah تعالى says: {I am just as My slave thinks I am, (i.e., I am able to do for him what he thinks I can do for him) and I am with him if He remembers Me. If he remembers Me in himself, I too, remember him in Myself; and if he remembers Me in a group of people, I remember him in a group that is better than them; and if he draws nearer to Me by a hand span, I go one cubit nearer to him; and if he draws nearer to me by one cubit, I go a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.} [1]

Karma Or Qadr?

As a Muslim, don't say: Karma

But say:

Qadr of Allaah, and He does what He intends.

PART 1:

It is not Karma, rather, it is the Qadr of Allaah that we Muslims believe in. Why would the Muslims be so interested in using the terminology which originated from Hinduism/Buddhism?

2- The Prophet said:

Should I not inform you of the best of your deed, and the purest of them with your Master, and the highest of them in your ranks, and what is better for you than spending gold and silver, and better for you than meeting your enemy, and you striking their necks, and they strike your necks? They said: “Of course.” He said: The remembrance of Allaah تعالى. [Then] Mu`aadh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه said: There is nothing that brings one  more  salvation  from  the  punishment  of  Allaah  than  the  remembrance of Allaah. [1]

3. Shaikh al-Sa`dee رحمه الله said: {for them}, that is, for these people who are described in these glowing terms as possessing these noble characteristics, which include beliefs, deeds of the heart, physical deeds, spoken words, and doing acts that may benefit oneself or others, as well as doing good deeds and refraining from evil deeds, for the one who does these things has established the religion in the fullest sense, both outwardly and inwardly, and has attained Islaam, Imaan (Faith) and Ihsaan (highest level of God-consciousness).” [4]

In doing the Adhkaar (remembrance of Allaah), there are more than hundred benefits:

1. Remembrance drives away, suppresses, and breaks the Devil.

2. It pleases (Allaah) the Most Merciful, the Almighty, the Sublime.

3. It removes the worries and sadness from the heart.

4. It brings happiness, joy and relief to the heart.

Categories Of People When It Comes To Worship

🔥 When it comes to worship, people fall into one of these categories:

1. Those who sincerely worship Allaah alone and nothing else:

They worship Allaah the way Allaah wants to be worshiped. They worship Allaah upon the guidance and light from Allaah. They worship Allaah upon the Sunnah of His Messenger . They are the ones who are upon Tawheed, as Allaah تعالى mentions:

{Say (O Muhammad): “Verily, my Salaah (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allaah, the Lord of the `Aalameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists).}

Shukr (Gratitude): What It Means And How To Be Thankful

It is incumbent upon a slave of Allaah that he must thank Allaah تعالى for the favors that Allaah bestowed upon him.

How to be grateful:

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said in Al-Madarij al-Saalikeen: ❝Gratitude is done with the heart, the tongue, and the limbs:
1. With the heart through humility and submissiveness.
2.
With the tongue through acknowledging the blessing, and praising/thanking the Benefactor,
3.
And with the limbs through obedience and devotion. [1]

Aadam عليه السلام And The Apple:

⚡Is there any benefit in learning about the fruit that Aadam عليه السلام ate?

The tree - that Allaah سبحانه وتعالى forbade Aadam and his wive عليهما السلام to eat from, but they still ate from it - no scholar has confirmed what tree it was, and there is nothing in the Book of Allaah or the authentic Sunnah of His Messenger ﷺ to point to a specific tree or fruit.

Whatever has been mentioned about a specific type of tree or fruit, then that has been narrated by some of the Taabi`een (students of the Companions), and most of them are based on Texts from the people of the Book (Jews and Christians). Some of them said it is the fig tree, and some said it is the grapevine, and some said it is wheat, and others said it is barely. But what is more commonly known with the vast majority of the people is that it was the apple. But there is no basis for this.

🎓 Imaam Ibn Jareer رحمه الله, after mentioning the above different opinions, said in his Tafseer of Surah al-Baqarah:
❝The correct opinion is to say: "From among the many trees in Jannah, Allaah تعالى forbade Aadam and his wife from eating from one specific tree. But they both disobeyed in what Allaah تعالى had prohibited for them, and they ate as Allaah تعالى had mentioned in His Book. And we do not know which specific tree it was, because Allaah تعالى did not leave any clue for His slaves, neither in His Book nor in the authentic Sunnah. So, from where did the people come to this conclusion (that it was an apple, or wheat, etc.)?

Some said it was from barely, and some said it was from grapevine, while others said it was from the fig tree. It could be one of them (but we do not know for sure). This is part of knowledge, which, if one came to know about it, it would not benefit him. And if an ignorant remains ignorant about it, his ignorance about this would not harm him."❞
📚 [Tafseer al-Tabaree]

There are many lessons to be learned from the story of Aadam عليه السلام, and learning about the fruit or tree is not one of them.

Importance Of Repaying Debts (A Compilation Of 20 Narrations)

Summary:

1.     Books of Hadeeth like Sunan Abu Dawood, Sunan al-Nasaa’ee, Sunan Ibn Maajah, and Sunan al-Daarimee dedicated a special chapter heading: “Stern Warning Concerning Debt”

2.
Anyone who died while he had a debt to repay, will be detained from entering Paradise.

3.
The Prophet refused to offer funeral prayer for the one who died without repaying debt or not leaving behind anything with which to repay the debt. The only other time the Prophet and his Ummah have been prohibited to pray is for the Kuffaar. This is another clear indication of the importance of Huqooq al-`Ibaad (rights of the creation), and the severity of not repaying debts.

4.
On the Day of Judgment, there will be no Deenar or Dirham to repay debt with. The matter will be decided through the exchanging of good deeds and bad deeds.

5.
The Person, who is in debt, should pay off his debts before he can give money in charity.

6.
The inheritance is not to be distributed to the heirs till the debt is paid off first. Just in two Ayaat, Allaah تعالى reminded four times about this in His Book.

Leading By Examples

In the Qur’aan we come across many Aayaat that are arranged in such a way that we, a lot of times, fail to understand the wisdom behind their arrangement. At first glance, we would not be able to make any connections between these different Aayaat, but upon pondering over them again and again, one can appreciate the Wisdom of Allaah سبحانه وتعالى.

A few examples of such pairing of `Aayaat are as follows:

1. Aayaat on Patience paired with Aayah of al-Safa & al-Marwah

2. Aayaah of Du`aa paired with Aayaat on Fasting

3. Aayah on Tawakkal paired with Surah Yusuf

It is like when Allaah
تعالى instructed His Prophet and the Believers to be patient, He تعالى gave an example in Patience. And when He تعالى instructed His Prophet and the Believers to trust Him in all our affairs, He تعالى gave an example in Trust.

1. Pairing of Aayaat on Patience with Aayah of al-Safa & al-Marwah:

Right after the Aayaat on al-Sabr, Allaah
تعالى mentioned about al-Safa and al-Marwah. Allaah تعالى said:
