بـسـم الله والحـمـد لله والـصلاة والـسـلام عــلى رسـول الله، وبـعـد
Based on the work of the noble Shaikh al-Albaanee رحمه الله: “Silsilatu al-Ahaadeeth al-Saheehah”
37) From `Abdullaah bin Amr رضي الله
عنه in marfoo` form: “The Most Merciful has mercy upon those who have mercy.
Have mercy to those upon the earth and the One above the heavens will have
mercy upon you. And the womb (the name ar-rahm – ties of kinship) is derived
from al-Rahmaan, so whoever connects it, then Allaah will connect him, and
whoever cuts it then, Allaah will cut him off.”
[Sunan
Abu Dawood (4941), Tirmidhee (1924) and Shaikh al-Albaanee said in al-Saheehah
(925): “Its men are trustworthy”; And in his checking of Sunan Abu Dawood
and Tirmidhee he graded the Hadeeth as “Saheeh”]
38) Narrated Abu `Uthmaan: Usama bin Zaid رضي الله عنه said
that while he, Sa`d and Ubai bin Ka`b were with the Prophet صلى الله
عليه وسلم, a daughter of the
Prophet sent a message to him, saying: “My daughter is dying; please come to
us.” The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم
sent her his greetings and added: “It is for
Allaah what He takes, and what He gives; and everything before His sight has a
limited period. So she should hope for Allaah's reward and remain patient.”
She again sent a message, beseeching him by Allaah, to come. So the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم
got up and so did we (and went there). The child was placed on his lap while
his breath was irregular. Tears flowed from the eyes of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم.
Sa`d said to him: “What is this, O Allaah's Apostle?” He صلى الله
عليه وسلم said: “This is Mercy which Allaah has embedded in the hearts of
whomever He wished of His slaves. And Allaah does not bestow His Mercy, except
on the merciful among His slaves.”

al-Bukhaaree (1284, 5655, 6655, 7448)]
39) From Jaabir bin `Abdullaah رضي الله
عنه in marfoo` form: “There are three characteristics in a hypocrite: (1) When
he speaks he lies, (2) when he makes a promise he is untrustworthy, (3) and
when is trusted he betrays.”
[al-Bazzaaar
(87), al-Bukhaaree in “al-Taareekh” (4/2/386). Shaikh al-Albaanee said in al-Saheehah
(1998): “it has supporting chains”]
40) Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله
عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم
said: “The signs of a hypocrite are three: (1)
Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie. (2) Whenever he promises, he always breaks
it (his promise). (3) If you trust him, he proves to be dishonest. (If you keep
something as a trust with him, he will not return it.)”
[Saheeh
al-Bukhaaree (32) and Saheeh Muslim (92, 93)]
41) Narrated `Abdullaah bin `Amr رضي الله
عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم
said: “Whoever has the following four
(characteristics) will be a pure hypocrite and whoever has one of the following
four characteristics will have one characteristic of hypocrisy unless and until
he gives it up. 1. Whenever he is entrusted, he betrays. (2) Whenever he
speaks, he tells a lie. (3) Whenever he makes a covenant, he proves
treacherous. (4) Whenever he quarrels, he behaves in a very imprudent, evil and
insulting manner.”
[Saheeh
al-Bukhaaree (33, 2459) and Saheeh Muslim (91)]
42) From Abu Hurairah رضي الله
عنه in marfoo` form: “I and the one who takes care of an orphan are in
Paradise, as long as he fears Allaah, like these two.” And Maalik
(the sub-narrator) indicated with his index and middle finger.
[Saheeh
Muslim (5300) al-Saheehah (962)]
43) Narrated Sahl bin Sa`d رضي الله
عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “I and the person
who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this,”
putting his index and middle fingers together.
[Saheeh
al-Bukhaaree (5304, 6005)]
44) Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله
عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Avoid the seven
great destructive sins.” They (the people) asked: “O Allaah's
Apostle! What are they?” He said: “To join
partners in worship with Allaah; to practice sorcery; to kill the life which
Allaah has forbidden except for a just cause (according to Islaamic law); to
eat up usury (Riba), to eat up the property of an orphan; to give one's back to
the enemy and fleeing from the battlefield at the time of fighting and to
accuse chaste women who never even think of anything touching chastity and are
good believers."
[Saheeh
al-Bukhaaree (2767, 6857) and Saheeh Muslim (132)]
